Story of the Week: January 26, 2012

This week's story is a letter from a patient of the Breast Health Center to Laurie Fitzgerald.

Dear Ladies at the Breast Center,

Thank you for your kindness, support, and encouragement during the biopsy I had this morning. I was very nervous and had a headache all through the night, but you ladies were just awesome. The procedure turned out to not be as bad as I anticipated, largely because of the support team you were. You made the entire procedure tolerable and easier. You kept me calm, comfortable, and relaxed. I could not have asked for more caring, gentle, and compassionate nurses and technicians. I feel blessed to have had such professionals by my side. Even your smiles and kind and compassionate words were comforting and reassuring and kept my mind off the process.

I also appreciate the sweet kindness of the people at the front desk and the checkout. This has really given me a positive experience at Union Hospital. Thank you very much.
