I just wanted to take the time to let you know what a good experience my mother and our family had last week when my Mom was admitted to the hospital.  Everyone was very nice and helpful, starting with the Emergency Room, my parents said they had a nurse named Alex and she was wonderful, Jim  and Gail in Radiology, actually Gail was kind enough to let me come in with my Mom while getting an ultrasound as Mom was nervous,  and  on PCU Mom had Kortni Pedlow, Janet Maldonado and Vicki Good as her nurses and all were wonderful, Vicki went above and beyond by helping my Dad after my Mom was discharged with a prescription problem he was having, and also took the time to show our family exactly how to administer the shot that my mother was going to have to administer after being discharged, also Sketer Turner and Adrienne Hicks had smiles for us, Joy Williams checked to make sure everything was OK and Paula Evans took the time to get my Mom into a private room so I  could stay all night with her.  Food Services, Denise, Josh and Roberto, Environmental, Denise and Wendy, and Transportation, Wendy actually filled in for transport too, all were courteous and greeted us with a smile.  There may have even been some others I may have missed, hopefully not.
 
Ann Kotkas in the Emergency Room also helped us out when my mother was to get pain medicine and did not want to take any narcotics but stated whatever they gave her in the Emergency Room helped, so when my Dad and I went down to see what it was she took the time to check in the computer and showed care and compassion while doing so.
 
Dr. Abbas, the hospitalist my Mom had was wonderful, he took the time to explain everything and had wonderful bedside manner.  Dr. Suri was also called in and she also took the time to talk to us and answer any questions with a smile.  When my Mom was discharged Cathie Null made the process of getting a Home Health Nurse seamless, I assumed I was going to have to get with their dept. and make calls and Cathie had it all taken care.
 
Everyone we encountered exhibited the values of our hospital and made my mother’s hospital stay as pleasant as a hospital stay could be.  I have tried to thank everyone involved, but also wanted you and their superiors to know what a great job everyone did and that it was much appreciated!
