I had a very difficult patient tonight and I called Mike several times for help. He is a great team player!

Thank you so much for taking such great care of my Dad! We both appreciated it! 

On the morning of 12/22 Brittney and Loretta came to the Sleep Lab to help me with a patient. Even though this was a busy time of the morning, they took care of my patient as if she was the only one. They were very kind to both her and me. Thanks so much!

I came in to work on 3E Christmas Eve 5:58am. When I got to my unit, I saw black spots and marks all on the unit floor and all up and down the hallway. It really looked a mess. Diosdado came to the floor and clean it all up. It looked so good after he got done. I want to thank him so very much.

Jessica informed me that there was a puddle that she was going to mop up in a remote location in the lab. I might not have seen it if she had not told me. I thanked her for a good job. Later she returned to the lab to check on that site and noticed the same issue and exactly where it was coming from. There was a clog in an instrument draining system and if not tended to would have led to possible serious instrument malfunction. The result of her actions saved the lab from timely delays of critical Chemistry results to all areas of the hospital. Housekeeping is always expected to keep on top of their work, but in this case Jessica went above and beyond her job responsibilities! Thank You for making the lab sparkle and for troubleshooting the problem.

I just wanted to brag about Dr. LaRocco, Nikki and Sharon in the ER. A couple days ago my son broke his thumb and was brought into the ER. He has adrenal insufficiency and requires immediate attention when he is injured. Nikki was amazing in getting him into a room and evaluating him immediately. Dr. LaRocco and Sharon took great care of him and had him in and out within the hour. I am so grateful to work with such a wonderful group of people. Thank You!

Jen is a great nurse, her behavior with her patients is excellent.

I just wanted to say that Nequila takes great care of her patients when she is working. I feel that one day she will be a great RN here at Union. She is a great asset on the 2 East team.

I just want to share a thank you to the girl who got me an ice pack for my back. She saw that I was in pain and I was near the cafe and she went out of her way to go back to where she was and get me one. I believe she works in OR dept. I greatly appreciate her for doing that and that really showed caring and compassion. Thanks again!

Just had a procedure done with Dr. Din, and I wanted to let the hospital know what a wonderful staff they have back in the OR. Everyone was just terrific, especially Brian, he gave me a needle and never left a mark. Great team! Thanks!

During the Employee Holiday Luncheon, I had sent our volunteer Shannon up to the luncheon to get something to eat. When she returned, Andrew had escorted her down with her food all wrapped up and in a bag. Shannon is in a wheelchair and was unable to carry it herself. The whole time he was down here, he had a smile on his face and he was very polite. He took her plate out of the bag and unwrapped it for her as well. He even offered to open her drink. I think this is the prime example of the values Caring and compassion. We are lucky to be working with such a fine gentleman.

Nikki and the Paramedics stayed to help us deliver at 10CM labor patient. Nikki got the IV and Labs for us. They were a great support! Thanks for all your help!

These 2 young ladies went over and beyond to help find a stat report. They both called and updated PCU with every step that was made. They were wonderful! Imaging should be very proud of these 2 ladies.

Mike in MRI has taken customer service to the next level. He is thoughtful, patient and kind. Mike made my testing a very positive experience.

I want to thank Chris and Richie for their quick response to our lighting issue.

Thanks guys for putting your trust in me when you need it the most. I know how difficult it can be to not know Spanish, so I’m here to help you. I can’t explain how satisfied and happy I feel to call you my co-workers. You guys amaze me on how you handle difficult situations day by day and thanks for making me part of your job. I’m here to help you guys and you have proven to me that you are here for me too. Thanks again and keep up the good work. I’m so proud of you guys.

I brought my granddaughter to the see Santa. She brought her list and colored a picture for Santa. I must say Rick is the best Santa ever. Santa sent her a card from the North Pole. She was so excited to have gotten a card from Santa. In her list she included her address so that Santa would know where to bring her gifts. She didn't have a long list. Rick was not only Santa; he really made her day with the extra effort of sending her a card. I can't thank him enough. Caring and compassion thank you!

I would like to thank Sarah, Heather and Amy of PCU for the exceptional care that was given to me during my stay. Not only are these women true professionals in every respect, but their caring, concern, compassion and great sense of humor made my stay enjoyable. Again, Thank You. Respectfully, Mike.

I was very, very, nervous about a procedure in SDS. Lisa immediately made me feel at ease and kept me laughing throughout everything! Thanks Lisa, I REALLY appreciate your Caring and Compassion!

My Father recently passed away in the hospital and from the time he arrived in the ED to the time he died, he received excellent care by everyone! Everyone always asked if there was anything they could do for our Dad before they left the room, even the housekeeping staff. The care and compassion that everyone exhibited to him as well as our family was greatly appreciated. I am so proud to say I work at Union Hospital!

Thank you Ken for putting up with me. I know it wasn’t easy :) but you always told me I can succeed and you always helped me. You gave me tasks that you knew I would handle and no matter, if I said I couldn’t, you taught me how. I lead this team with pride and joy. Still today, I’m proud to say Ken showed me everything I know. Thanks for everything you did and for always having faith in me.

When I started here 4 years ago, I didn’t know anyone and Debbie was willing to help me with anything I needed. She was and still is a great friend and co-worker. I’m so proud of her. No matter how busy she is, she always finds time to help me with whatever I need. She has laughed with me and even cried, but one thing I know and I’m proud to say she’s exceptional. She’s the most caring and loving person I have ever met. Debbie, I love you girl and want to thank you so much for all you have taught me. I have learned from the best and still today I’m a happy to say Union Hospital and EVS Dept, are the best. Your one of a kind and a true friend.

I would like to thank Nereida in the emergency room as well as Valerie from transportation. Just when my family thought there were no more compassionate people left in the world, we met them. There were other great people I would like to acknowledge in there, but these 2 stood out to our family. Not only were they caring and informative when we asked questions, but Valerie actually shared personal stories about her own family and medical issues that affected her family. It encouraged us that no matter what we are going through we just have to be strong and pray that things would only get better for us. She is truly a blessing and I wanted to personally let the hospital know that you have angels working for you and they were amazing. The hospital has an amazing staff. We appreciate everything Union Hospital has done for us. Thank You!

A big thank you to Dr. Lowe, Dr. Haddadin, and Dr. Benninghoff (Ecare) and Bethann Santangelo, RN.  Dr. Lowe came in around 1AM when she found out that her patient needed her care. Dr. Lowe, along with Dr. Haddadin and Dr. Benninghoff all pulled together to help stabilize the patient and institute an aggressive plan of action. Along with Bethann’s diligent nursing efforts, these professionals worked like a well-oiled machine. My hats off to them, each discipline worked well together and really showed what teamwork was.

Beth Money is a representative that you can be proud of.  She is very caring and compassionate.
